Let’s simplify your books & tax strategy. Book A Call
Real estate income can be unpredictable, and a big commission check doesn’t always tell you how your business is really doing. Fortitude provides full-service bookkeeping built for commission-based businesses, so your books stay organized, your numbers are reliable, and you have better information for running your business.
If your books need setup or cleanup before ongoing service begins, we’ll get the foundation right first.

✓ Bookkeeping That Understands Real Estate — We understand commission-based businesses, variable income, business expenses, mileage, and the accounting issues that come with working in real estate.
✓ Books You Can Actually Use — Your accounts are reconciled, transactions are categorized consistently, and your books are organized so the numbers actually mean something.
✓ The Right Amount of Attention — Not every Realtor needs monthly bookkeeping. We match the bookkeeping rhythm to your activity and needs, whether that’s three structured checkpoints each year or monthly service.
✓ Tax-Ready by Design — Your books are maintained with clean tax preparation in mind, whether Fortitude prepares your return or you work with another tax professional.
✓ A Partnership Without a Lot of Homework — We handle the bookkeeping and keep your part small, reaching out when we need information or clarification that only you can provide.
✓ Your Books Stay Yours — You maintain direct ownership and access to your QuickBooks Online or Xero account. If you ever leave Fortitude, your books leave with you.
Not every Realtor needs monthly bookkeeping. The right level of support depends on how much activity flows through your business and how often you need current financial information. Both options are full-service—we handle the books. The difference is how often we do the work.

Full-Service Bookkeeping
• 3x Per Year
For solo Realtors with straightforward, lower-volume activity who want someone else to handle the books but don’t need monthly financial statements.
Three times each year, we bring your books current, categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, address issues, and keep everything organized and tax-ready.
Best for: Solo Realtors with lower transaction volume, fewer accounts, and relatively straightforward activity.
What’s included:
Starts at $365 per touchpoint

Full-Service Bookkeeping • Every Month
For busy Realtors, teams, and brokers who have enough activity that waiting several months between bookkeeping cycles no longer makes sense.
Each month, we complete the bookkeeping, reconcile your accounts, review the financials, and address issues as they arise—so your numbers stay current throughout the year.
Best for: Realtors with higher transaction volume, multiple accounts, employee payroll, teams, or owners who want reliable monthly financials.
What’s included:
Starts at $225 per month
Your books stay yours.
We work in your QuickBooks Online or Xero account, which you own and maintain directly. Your software subscription is separate from our bookkeeping fees.
A Note About Pricing:
The prices above reflect a simple, clean bookkeeping structure and are starting points. Your actual fee depends on the amount and complexity of the work involved, including transaction volume, the number of bank and credit card accounts, payroll activity, loans, inventory, sales tax requirements, and other factors specific to your business. Commingling personal and business activity can also increase the bookkeeping work required. We’ll confirm your pricing after learning more about your business and reviewing your bookkeeping needs.

Yes. We provide full-service bookkeeping for real estate agents, brokers, and small teams. Our bookkeeping is designed around commission-based businesses and keeps your financial records accurate, organized, and tax-ready—without requiring you to become the bookkeeper.
Yes. Fortitude bookkeeping is available as a stand-alone service, so you do not need to use us for tax preparation to work with us for bookkeeping. If another tax professional prepares your returns, your clean, organized books remain yours to share with them. Tax preparation, tax planning, and tax advice are separate services and are not included with stand-alone bookkeeping.
For solo or lower-volume Realtors who don’t need monthly financials, Checkpoint Bookkeeping provides full-service bookkeeping at three scheduled points during the year. We handle the transaction categorization, reconciliations, cleanup, and financial reports—so your books stay organized and tax-ready without paying for monthly bookkeeping you may not need.
Both are full-service bookkeeping—we handle the books. The difference is how often the work is completed. Checkpoint Bookkeeping brings your books current at three scheduled points during the year and works well for solo or lower-volume Realtors who don’t need monthly financials. Monthly Bookkeeping keeps your books current every month and is better suited to Realtors with more activity, multiple accounts, payroll, teams, or a need for current monthly financials.
Yes. Our Checkpoint and Monthly bookkeeping services are provided in QuickBooks Online or Xero, and you maintain your own subscription directly. Your software subscription is separate from our bookkeeping fees, and you retain direct access to and ownership of your accounting records.
Sometimes. If you’re starting fresh, we’ll make sure your accounting file is set up correctly for your business. If your existing books are behind, inconsistent, or need correction, cleanup may be required before ongoing bookkeeping begins. If your books are already in good shape, we’ll review them and determine whether any setup or cleanup work is actually needed.
It depends on your service level. With Checkpoint Bookkeeping, we complete and reconcile your books at three scheduled points during the year. With Monthly Bookkeeping, we complete and reconcile your books every month. Either way, the goal is accurate, organized books—you’re simply choosing the frequency that fits your business.
We strongly recommend keeping business and personal activity separate. Dedicated business accounts make your bookkeeping cleaner, reduce errors, and make it much easier to understand what is actually happening in your business. We can work with some commingled activity, but significant personal activity running through business accounts—or business activity running through personal accounts—creates additional bookkeeping work and may increase your fee.
The prices shown above are starting points. Your actual fee depends on the amount and complexity of the bookkeeping, including transaction volume, the number of bank and credit card accounts, payroll activity, loans, and other factors specific to your business. Commingling personal and business activity can also increase the amount of work required. We’ll confirm your pricing after reviewing your bookkeeping needs.
We handle the bookkeeping, but we’ll occasionally need information that only you can provide—such as clarification about a transaction or documentation for something unusual. We work to keep your part small, but timely responses help us keep your books accurate and moving forward.
You don’t need to figure it out before we talk. We’ll learn a little about your real estate business, how much activity runs through your books, and how often you actually need current financial information.
